Description
Seven leading artists are paired with seven luminary technologists. Their challenge: make something—an artwork, a prototype, whatever they imagine. They unveil their creations at a unique, intimate conference event at the New Museum.
This year’s Seven on Seven brings together a cohort of artists and technologists whose projects will explore a diverse array of topics across culture and technology: the aesthetics of high-frequency trading; how insects and robotics can echo one another; AI and the school-to-prison pipeline; languages of the deep future, and more

Saturday, April 27
1-6:30 PM: Conference at the New Museum
VIP and Conference Ticketholders witness the premiere of seven new creations, as well as a keynote. Coffee and snacks in the New Museum Sky Room is included.
8 PM: After Party at Sister City

Also on view during this year’s Seven on Seven conference is “The Art Happens Here: Net Art’s Archival Poetics,” a gallery exhibition of sixteen works drawn from Rhizome’s “Net Art Anthology,” a major online exhibition exploring net art history. There is also a ticket level that includes the just-released catalogue for this exhibition at a discount.
