Setting The Table is a monthly gathering to learn, converse, and break bread around an important issue — presented by The New Tropic, The Anderson, Coconut Cartel, and El Toro (the newest delicious addition at The Anderson)
This month's topic: Understanding the Future of Artists in Miami
The goal of this event is to connect with both artists and those who want to better understand the history, challenges, and opportunities that impact the art scene in Miami.
We will unpack some of the following questions to achieve our goal:
- How to find a place to create, when Miami has costs that are not conducive to creativity?
- What opportunities are available from the Miami art scene supporters, and how do you get them?
- What made the Miami art scene what it is today, and is it threatened by the changes found in our changing community?
- How can Miamians support and boost the efforts of local artists and arts organizations?
Local thought leaders and our moderator, The New Tropic Director Lance Dixon, will shape the conversation and set the ground work for breakout discussions amongst guests.
