Setting The Table is a monthly gathering to learn, converse, and break bread around an important issue — presented by Bridgeliner, WeWork, and Every Child Oregon.

This month's theme: Creating a Better Tomorrow for Portland's Youth.

Here in Portland, our kids are fighting climate change, standing up to gun violence, designing solutions to homelessness, and launching their own nonprofits.

They’re building a better tomorrow for themselves in many ways. So how can we help?

Join us on Thursday, August 15 to discuss how Portlanders can support the young people in our city — and meet some of the incredible people who do that work every day.

We’ll kick things off with a panel discussion, then break out for dinner with friends and strangers (aka soon-to-be friends) who are interested in tackling this community challenge just like you.

6:20 p.m. - Panel discussion with Ben Sand, CEO of Portland Leadership Foundation; Janet Soto Rodriguez, policy and innovation director at the Chalkboard Project; Marissa Johnson, facilitator and child welfare policy expert, Fearless Facilitation & Foster Homes of Healing; and Duy Bui, former Madison HS student president and rising freshman at PSU.
