Serving The Needs Of A Decentralized World From A Woman's Perspective

This week we're bringing an all-female panel to lend a different point of view on building in Web3. What kinds of things might you build if you’re thinking about it from someone else's perspective? How is this technology benefitting all different types of people? Is financial inclusion realistic with Bitcoin, when the first iteration cost $100 per transaction? What are the incentives for diverse, young talent to come to the space?

We will tackle some of these questions in an AMA-like format this week. Come ready to ask our panelists anything, they want to hear from you. Let's make innovation practical and accessible to everyone.

About the Speakers:

Zenobia Godschalk, has over 20 years of experience in high tech PR and helping companies create and dominate new categories. She is the Senior Vice President of Corporate Communications at Swirlds Labs, growing the Hedera (HBAR) ecosystem. Previously, she was a sell-side analyst with investment bank Morgan Keegan, where she was part of The Wall Street Journal’s #1 Ranked Software Analyst team. Prior to this, she served as the head of corporate communications for Opsware Inc (NASDAQ: OPSW), founded by Marc Andreessen and Ben Horowitz, which was acquired by HP for $1.6B. Zenobia graduated from Stanford University with a BA in Economics and Psychology, minor in Industrial Engineering.

Alana "AfroButterfly" Whitaker is a retired Registered ICU Nurse turned Web3 educator! Alongside Jalissia Ball, she is Co-Founder of Web3 EdTech Startup Digital Greenbook, which has been accepted to two renowned accelerators in 2022 - Nasdaq Milestones and Jax Bridges of the Jacksonville Chamber of Commerce. Alana is particularly fascinated with the overlap between Web2 and Web3, and upskilling people into new job roles for the emerging technology. She spends a great deal of time mentoring young women, children and elderly on how to safely onboard into the Web3 space and travels to international developer conventions, tech conventions and hosts regional events to demystify and reduce fear surrounding all that Web3 encompasses. www.AfroButterfly.info

Elizabeth Morrison is Partner Success Lead, working with wallets, exchanges, and enterprise partners at Unstoppable Domains, an NFT domain name provider working to onboard the world onto Web3. Elizabeth is also the co-host of #GirlsNightINweb3, a weekly Twitter Space focused on sharing the stories of builders, brands, and leaders in web3 while providing an “open-mic” experience for the community to connect. Prior to Unstoppable Domains, Elizabeth led Brand and Partnership Marketing at First Advantage, one of the world’s leading background screening tech companies, where she was first introduced to digital identity, verifications, and blockchain. Elizabeth drove partnerships with top ATS and ISV partners, including Workday, iCIMS, UKG, SAP SuccessFactors, and Oracle. She also directed the brand and media campaign for the company’s Nasdaq IPO in 2021. Elizabeth holds a BS in Business, Marketing from Jacksonville State University and completed graduate studies in Design at Savannah College of Art and Design - Atlanta. She is a native of Atlanta, Georgia.

Angela Brasington is the Co-founder of Atlanta Blockchain Center and CMO of Starter Labs, a blockchain research and development lab building products & communities for a Web3 future. She is responsible for managing Starter’s partnerships and investor network as well as marketing the Starter brand and products, including Starchi and OpenStarter. Angela comes from an entrepreneurial background, having founded two companies and consulted, advised, and marketed numerous companies in the blockchain, fashion, and beauty industries.
