Learn about the SDVOSB certification eligibility requirements, benefits, and upcoming changes.

About this Event

The 2021 National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA), eliminates SDVOSB self-certification and will adopt a government wide SDVOSB Certification within two years. The act transfer’s control of the certification program from the Veterans Administration to the Small Business Administration.

There are currently two certification/verification programs for SDVOSB; the NDAA streamlines the certification process to one program under the SBA who is responsible for all other small business certifications. The VA’s verification program will be dissolved (at a date to be determined) and the self-certification through SAM will be replaced with the new SBA certification process.

In this webinar, we will discuss this new program as well as SDVOSB eligibility requirements, covering ownership rules, and control requirements. It is important to understand the eligibility requirements and ensure you meet the requirements prior to applying through the new certification process.

Nanci has over 22 years of experience in n federal contracting and small business advocacy. She specializes in Federal contracting, registrations and certifications, and is also well versed in California State registration, certification and California Multiple Award Schedules. Nanci has a BS in Management from Park University and an MS from the Air Force Institute of Technology in Strategic Purchasing. She is a Certified Federal Contract Manager (CFCM) through the National Contract Management Association and maintains a Level III Federal Acquisition Certification in Contracting (FAC-C).
