On Friday's we are offering limited and FREE Sensory Art Classes for 15 children and their guardians to attend with an amazing open concept Open Play Area. Classes are created for children ages 6 months- 10 years old with a special need or different ability.
Sensory art is great for fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination, and a great way for guardians to connect with their children through art.
Our Sensory Art Classes are led by our Family Activity Center Manager, an experienced Special Needs Parent, who's passion is to create ways for families with a child with special needs or different abilities to connect.
Children are allowed to do art at their own pace so we do not have a "structured" time for the Sensory Art activity- it's available during the 9am-11am time frame. Siblings under 10 years old are welcome- please get a “Child Ticket” for them as well!
Lastly, these classes are great for guardians to connect with one another and possibly make friends- we’ve seen it happen, love it, and support it! We are your village here at St Francis Children’s Center.
How are these classes for free and how do you qualify?
We have amazing funders that ensure our programming is for free for our families with children that have a special need or different ability. The only qualification is a pending diagnosis or a current diagnosis of a special need or different ability- no proof is necessary.
