Self-Care Sunday rides are about more than just getting on a bike they’re about slowing down, connecting with our neighbors, and making time to care for ourselves and each other. Every Sunday, we meet at Unity Park and ride 5 to 10 miles at a relaxed pace to one of Richmond’s many parks. It’s a chance to move your body, get some fresh air, and enjoy the beauty that’s already around us.
These rides are also part of our commitment to park equity. A lot of the parks we visit are in neighborhoods that haven’t always gotten the investment or attention they deserve. By riding through these spaces, we’re reclaiming them, making them visible, and showing that our community deserves clean, safe, and joyful public spaces. It’s about building a culture of care for our bodies, our neighborhoods, and our environment.
