Seekers Book Club
Overview
Event Description
Join us for our first gathering on Sunday 30th November!
As this is our first meet up, we will begin our journey by getting to know one another and sharing our in interests in all things spiritual. During the conversation we could explore our experience with religion, altered states of consciousness, meditation, philosophy, energy healing, or even psychedelics, nothing is off the table.
The first book we will be reading over the coming weeks will be the Kybalion. Later we’ll pick other texts, anything from the Thomas Campbells “My Big Toe” to Nietzsche's "Thus Spoke Zarathustra" to the Tao Te Ching or to Manly P Hall’s “The Secret Teachings Of All Ages”.... We will pick our books together, benefitting from one another’s take on the text, our backgrounds and experiences.
About Seekers Book Club
Seekers Book Club is for anyone who is a true seeker. Not for those with spiritual egos, we’re in this together. This is a place where we gather, share and learn. We will explore the world’s great religious, spiritual and philosophical texts together, sharing our insights and building our relationships as we do. We could also pick courses like The Gateway Experience where we would learn particular techniques that relate to meditation and astral travel or the Universal Law, Natural Science & Living Philosophy course created by Walter Russells. You may have other suggestions that we could all work on together.
After working together for a bit, perhaps we’ll arrange in-person meetups/ trips.
I am fascinated by these topics and I am sure you are too, so lets share what we know and learn together!
Lastly, I really want to hammer home that this isn’t my group, this is OUR group. I see myself more as the secretary of this group for now, perhaps someone else will volunteer in time. How this group grows and blossoms is up to us as a collective.
How We Meet
We will first meet online, but ideally in-person gatherings in pubs, cafés, church halls, or on walks.
*All conversations will be held in good faith.
