Seeding Freedom Storytime Circles
Join us for a special storytime series where we'll reconnect with nature and reimagine new worlds with abundant possibilities.
Attendees will enjoy engaging, interactive storytelling experiences that incorporate music, movement, and learning through play, inspiring a time of exploration and discovery in our healing garden, while witnessing springtime bloom into summer. Every session includes sensory garden tours, simple nature-themed mindfulness practices, quiet time with family, and child-friendly tastings featuring fresh and local foods from our garden.
Seeding Freedom Storytime Circles series will conclude with a very special storytelling and interactive drumming circle, taking place during our Juneteenth celebration, which is also our 5 year anniversary!

This event will kickoff on June 22, 2025 at the Juneteenth Festival and resume in the Fall.
September 23 and 30.
October 14 and 2. | 10am -12pm
Best suited for young children aged 3-7 years old.
All children must be accompanied by an adult.

About Storyteller Thembi Palmer
Thembi Palmer is committed to promoting literacy by developing a love of reading and books in young children, pre-K through 4th grade. She collaborates with Philadelphia schools, libraries, museums, parks, recreation centers, and literacy organizations.
With 20+ years experience in early childhood education, Thembi began Imagine More: Story Adventures to inspire, support and provide resources for parents/caregivers to help children get excited about learning to read.
