What will we be doing?

Each SEED Gathering offers hands-on, place-based learning. Join educators, students & community for hikes, activities, and lessons on local ecology, water, farming, and sustainability, with classroom-ready resources to take back and use.

What should I wear/bring?

Dress for the outdoors: comfortable shoes, layered clothing, reusable water bottle. Bring a notebook if you like to take notes. Please also bring snacks and a lunch!

Should I bring water?

We will have water on site, but please bring your own refillable water bottle to fill throughout the day.

Yes, we have bathrooms on site!

Join educators, students, and community members at Kaweah Oaks Preserve, hosted by Sequoia Riverlands Trust. Explore the preserve’s rich geology, ecology, and history while learning about oak woodland habitats, local wildlife, and the vital role of water in our region. Hands-on lessons will highlight the importance of groundwater recharge and soil health, alongside resources for oak woodland hikes and classroom activities. Together, we’ll connect science, land, and community to better understand how natural systems sustain us and how we can care for them into the future.
