Seed Balls Hands on Workshop - With Kathleen Tants

Seed Balls Hands on Workshop - With Kathleen Tants

By Westmeadows Indigenous and Community Garden

Overview

Join us for a fun, hands on workshop where you’ll learn how to make seed balls. Children welcome 6 and over (Must: accompanied by an adult)

Join Kathleen Tants at the Westmeadows Indigenous and Community Garnden for a step-by-step demonstration on making seed balls.

Together, we’ll mix clay and seeds to create little spheres of life that can be scattered across gardens and open spaces.

  • All materials provided (clay, compost, native seeds, gloves)
  • Learn about local plant species and their environmental benefits
  • Take home your own seed balls to grow or share

Children aged 6 years and over are warmly welcome to participate — but must be accompanied by an adult. It’s the perfect opportunity for families to get their hands dirty, learn about sustainability, and take home something that will keep growing long after the day ends. 🌱
