🎨 Design

Learn how to design the perfect haircut based on a client's:

  • face shape
  • head shape
  • hair type
  • lifestyle etc.


🛠️ Mechanics

Learn and SEE different ways to execute your design:

  • elevation
  • overdirection
  • finger angle
  • section
  • tension



🤲 HANDS-ON PORTION:


📋 Consultation

I’ll give a hypothetical consultation and the class will:

  • design the haircut
  • tell me how to do each step


💇‍♀️ Execution

We’ll execute the haircut together on our mannequin heads.

I’ll go around giving tips, assisting, and answering questions.



🧳 WHAT TO BRING:


  • Uncut mannequin head (medium length)
  • Tripod (no clamps please)
  • Scissors
  • Cutting comb
  • 4 duck bill clips
  • Water bottle
  • Pen



🗓️ CLASS SCHEDULE:


Theory: 9:00 am - 12:00 pm

Break: 12:00 pm - 12:30 pm

Hands-on: 12:30 pm - 3:00 pm

Frequently asked questions

Who is this class for?

Stylists with varying years of experience have taken this class: students, new stylists, veteran stylists (35+ yrs), barbers, and even teachers/educators. This is for those who want to create, not just copy. It’s for any stylist willing to invest time & effort in study and practice after the class.

Who is this class NOT for?

This class may not be for you if you prefer step-by-step guides, only want to learn one specific haircut, or aren’t able to make time to study and practice outside of class... and that’s totally okay! I still hope to meet you someday. :)

Is lunch provided?

To keep the class prices low and accessible, lunch won’t be provided. During the break, you can leave and eat somewhere. I like to bring a lunch that does not require refrigeration/heating. If you’d like to do the same, stay and hangout with me while I eat and set up for the hands-on portion. :)

Are there any other breaks?

Other than the 30 minute break listed in the schedule, we will have a 10 minute break in the middle of the Theory Portion between Design and Mechanics.

Will you come back to my city?

I'd really love to, but I teach wherever salon owners offer to host the class. So most likely, I won't be back unless another salon owner in your area reaches out and also offers to open their salon team's class to other stylists.
