Synopsis:
From a water treatment plant to a hospital, there are no exceptions when it comes to operational risk. Across every sector, healthcare, oil and gas, and finance, the systems that sustain daily operations are increasingly vulnerable. Recent incidents such as the CrowdStrike failure, AWS global outage, Colonial Pipeline attack, and SolarWinds compromise have highlighted how a single disruption in technology can cascade into financial loss, public safety risks, and operational paralysis.
This executive session explores how cyberattacks, internal sabotage, technological failure, or even natural disasters can impact Operational Technology (OT) environments, and why protecting them has become a business-critical priority. Through real-world case studies, participants will learn how attackers exploit industrial systems, how leading organizations enhance cyber resilience, business continuity, and crisis management, and how quantitative risk models can be applied to assess and prioritize an organization’s operational risk.
Attendees will gain a strategic understanding of how to assess vulnerabilities, prioritize investments, and implement practical measures to protect the continuity of operations. Ultimately, this session challenges leaders to view OT cybersecurity as the foundation of trust, safety, and resilience in a world where one cyber event can bring an entire operation to a standstill.
