SecureXIV is our 14th Annual Educational and Networking Cruise.

About this event

Join us on Thursday, June 16th for SecureXIV Cruise. We're back to the pre-2020 format with the perfect full day Event, including education sessions, panel discussion, breakfast, lunch, open bar, and (oh yeah) a fabulous cruise aboard the Odyssey on Lake Michigan from Chicago's Navy Pier. Program details & Speakers will be announced in May.

Early-Bird Price is $75 (expires May 31) for CTC Members (ISSA, AITP, InfraGard, & ISACA). Price increases June 1st to $125. We have special price for Students, Veterans, and Professionals In-Transition (see registration link for details & volunteer requirements).

*Covid vaccinations are required and masks are requested to board the Odyssey. Once on-board, the policy is more relaxed and we're following local pandemic guidelines.

Presentation Abstract: As the privacy industry matures and legislation increasingly centers around technical details, security teams are being tasked with some (or all) of the privacy and data protection program. What does this mean for information security leaders? This talk will give security managers an overview of key concepts, an explanation of typical privacy operations and controls, and a set of initial actions to get started in building a program.
