One Day OrPATS Workshop

  • Implementing Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) at the Middle School/High School/Post-Secondary Level

  • Evidence-based Practices as used in the Links® Program

Presented by: Oregon Program Autism Training Sites & Support Staff and Willamette ESD

What:

Participants will receive training on how to use the following ABA/Evidence-Based instructional strategies:

  • Assessing functional routines
  • Teaching functional routines
  • Task analysis
  • Discrete trial training
  • Use of positive behavior intervention and supports as used in the Links® Curriculum


Who:

This workshop is appropriate for teachers, assistants, related service providers, specialists and administrators working with secondary (Upper Elementary/Middle/High School & Post-Secondary) students with ASD and other related developmental disabilities.

8:30am to 3:30pm (1 hour lunch on your own)

Participating teams will receive workshop handouts and needed materials/subscriptions to access the Links® Online Curriculum.


"How will I be able to miss a full classroom day for this?"

The Oregon Department of Education has made a small amount of funds available to reimburse participating agencies for staff substitute pay or to pay a stipend to staff who are not yet under contract at the time of the workshop. These funds are to provide release time to staff to be involved in OrPATS training (Workshops and/or visits to OrPATS Training Sites). This funding must be approved ahead of time and is on a first come first served basis. Please click here to download forms and instructions for submitting or visit the orpats.org website.
