Join us at the Betty Mae Kramer Gallery & Music Room on the second Wednesday of each month for an evening of jazz! This month's performance features saxophonist Paul Carr and pianist Vince Evans.

Before the concert, we invite you to REFLECTIONS: Artists Talk with the Contemplations exhibition artists at 4:45 p.m. in the Betty Mae Kramer Gallery and Music Room. This intimate gathering is a unique opportunity to hear directly from the talented artists behind Contemplations as they share insights into their creative process and inspirations behind their captivating work. Jazz at the Kramer is presented by Paul Carr's Jazz Academy of Music in partnership with the Arts & Humanities Council of Montgomery County and curated by Paul Carr.

Paul Carr

A native of Houston, TX and proud graduate of the Howard University Jazz Ensemble, tenor and soprano saxophonist Paul Carr is one of the DMV’s true jazz renaissance men. As a bandleader and as one of the DMV’s signature saxophonists, Paul has embraced a broad range of notable artists as guest contributors to his impressive discography of bandleader recording dates.

Vince Evans

Vince Evans is mostly recognized as a veteran musician and teacher of music.  He has performed and recorded with many celebrities such as Prince, Phyllis Hyman, Al Jarreau, George Benson, Eddie Murphy, MC Hammer, Joe McIntyre, Commissioned, Jonathan Butler, Pieces of a Dream, Bill Withers, Gerald Albright, Luther Vandross, Lenny White, Lalah Hathaway, Isaac Hayes, Patti LaBelle, Angie Stone, Chuck Brown and Dianne Reeves...to name a few!
