The City of Chicago Department of Planning & Development is hosting the 2nd Community Meeting for the Calumet Area Land Use Plan. The updated Calumet Area Land Use Plan and Design Guidelines is a two-year planning effort being led by DPD and will focus on building a vision for the future of Chicago's Far South Side, including the Calumet, Burnside, and Pullman industrial corridors; Lake Calumet; the Illinois International Port District; portions of the Calumet and Little Calumet rivers; along with hundreds of acres of protected open spaces.
