Join Us for a Powerful Presentation on Advancing Lactation Equity

Discover how BreastfeedLA is transforming the lactation field through its innovative, culturally responsive Lactation Education Model. In this session, Arissa Palmer, MHS, shares how BreastfeedLA is breaking down systemic barriers and building a more diverse, community-rooted workforce. Learn how their model—grounded in reproductive justice and built in partnership with community colleges—offers accessible, inclusive pathways to IBCLC certification. Get inspired by real-world impact, student success, and a vision for equitable infant feeding support nationwide.

Don’t miss this opportunity to reimagine workforce development and equity in maternal-child health.

In addtion, learn about the UCSD Health 4th Trimester Pilot Program from Dr. Michelle Leff, Medical Director of Lactation Medicine for UCSD Health.
