Have you ever wanted to study texts from the Quran, New Testament and Hebrew Bible in an interfaith setting with Christians, Jews and Muslims, but not known where to start? Then join us for Scriptural Reasoning, as we explore the common heritage of the three Abrahamic religions through their sacred books and build community through study.

Scriptural Reasoning is an innovative program developed at the University of Cambridge that uses facilitated study of parallel short texts from the Hebrew Scriptures, New Testament and Quran to encourage dialogue among Jews, Christians and Muslims. Each session of Scriptural Reasoning starts with a recitation reading of the evening's scriptures in the original Hebrew, Greek or Arabic, after which participants break into small groups that read and discuss the passages in detail.

This is a three-session series, with different texts read at every meeting. We will meet on Thursday, December 5th, Thursday, January 16th and Thursday, February 20th. We ask registrants to plan to attend all three sessions, but understand that people may need to miss a session due to prior plans. On the registration page we ask attendees to specify their faith background to assure we have a fair representation of faith backgrounds. We also have a section where you can let us know if you're going to need to miss a session.

Attendees are welcome to bring a light meal or sandwich for dinner. Marble Collegiate Church will be providing hot and cold beverages and dessert.
