About this event

  • Event lasts 3 hours

Main Lakewood Public Library
11:30 AM – 2:30 PM | Multipurpose Room

Co-hosted by Alternate Endings™ and SCRIPTed – A Community Collaborative on Death & Dying (a nonprofit, pending 501(c)(3) status)

SCRIPTed is a Cleveland-based collaborative focused on personal, creative, and community-centered end-of-life planning. SCRIPT stands for:
Support • Community • Resources • Intention • Partners • Transition - the essential elements for planning your final chapter with clarity and care.

Join us as we explore:

  • Advance directives and how to talk with loved ones about your wishes
  • Creative ways to document your plans and preferences
  • What it means to be a SCRIPT-writer for your life’s final chapter

You’ll have a chance to:
Create your own Journey Book – a personalized space to collect your end-of-life wishes
Exchange C.U.E. Cards – Connect. Understand. Empower. They're business cards, but with a bigger purpose.
Meet SCRIPTed Allies – local professionals and volunteers who can support you and your family during life’s most challenging transitions

Whether you’re interested in meaningful conversations, hands-on planning, or scrapbooking-style crafts, there’s a seat for you at our table.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to bring my own craft supplies?

We will have lots of scrapbook paper available, but as a beginning business and a non-profit, we appreciate any help you can give us with other craft supplies like double sided tape or embellishments.

What if I'm not into crafts, but I'd like to join in the conversation?

That's totally fine! We will have other options for keeping your end-of-life wishes organized.

Is this event free?

Yes, the events we hold at the library are free to the public. We will have options for donating if you'd like to contribute towards the cost of materials.

How do I participate as a business or end-of-life service provider?

Please visit our website at www.scriptedproject.org and connect with us using our contact form. If you'd like to become a certified SCRIPTed Ally, we can send you information on the modules you'll need to complete (it's quick and painless, we promise!)
