Absolutely not. We will use the free and accessible online screenwriting software Celtx for all hands-on exercises. The focus of the Masterclass is on teaching the universal principles of professional formatting, structure, and story development, which are transferable to any software.

Can I use this class to work on an existing script, or do I need a new idea?

You can work on any project you have. We encourage you to bring an existing idea, short story, or script outline that you want to restructure or refine. The practical exercises (logline creation, sequence outlining) are designed to be flexible and applicable to both new concepts and current works.

I primarily want to write for TV or short form digital content. Is this class relevant?

Yes. The core principles of story structure, character development, and narrative pacing covered in this class are the foundational elements for all forms of visual storytelling, including features, shorts, pilots, and digital content.

Is the Masterclass recorded for later review?
