Scrappy Flowers or Scrappy Birds Workshop
Overview
Join the Scrappy Flowers & Birds Workshop to create your own set of three scrappy flowers or 3 Scrappy Birds!
Select your own pieces of glass from scrap bins and use hand tools to create your own projects. We will use primarily hand cutting tools to nip and shape the glass into pieces for our flowers/birds, use of grinding machines is optional. Opt to attach your flowers to stems or make them into an ornament. This is a great project for those who love to think abstractly and create with found shapes and objects.
Each guest will likely work at their own pace, but expect to spend 2-3 hours to create your 3 flowers/birds. If time allows, you can opt to make additional flowers/birds for $5 each, payable at the studio.
Great for beginners, middle school aged kids to adults!
We will be using glass which presents the possibility of cuts, hazardous chemicals, and soldering irons that reach 700 degrees. Nitrile gloves and gardening gloves are provided but you are welcome to bring your own.
Hand tools used for shaping glass. The second step after the glass is shaped is applying copper foil tape. To finish the project, we will solder everything together.
Mobile Option for the scrappy flowers (limited quantities of the sticks are availble at the studio)
Three silly Scrappy Birds!
