Join us for a FREE, Essential Stiches Workshop at the Pittsburgh Center For Creative Reuse!
Turn fabric scraps into wearable art! In this fun, hands-on two-hour class you’ll learn to design and create three different styles of eco-chic earrings—fringed hoops, half-circle dangles, and layered leaves or flowers. All ages are welcome (children 10 and under should bring a helper). No experience needed—just bring your creativity and leave with custom earrings that show off your personal style while keeping fabric out of the landfill.
Creative Reuse is a supportive space, open to folks with any level of artistic ability. Our goal is to foster expression and creative community, not perfection. Just bring an open mind– we’ll cover the rest.
This workshop is a part of our Guest Teaching Artist workshop series! On the second sunday of each month we bring in a local artist to host a workshop sharing their specialty. This months' Guest TA is Carmen (she/her). Carmen Miller is a multidisciplinary artist and maker who loves transforming everyday materials into vibrant, one-of-a-kind pieces. She designs handmade jewelry, upcycled fabric accessories, and intricate paper-quilled art that celebrate color, pattern, and texture. Carmen enjoys sharing her passion for sustainable creativity by teaching community classes that inspire others to re-imagine scraps as treasures.
