I've never done an alley cat before. How does it work? Is it a race? Do I have to be fast?

I'm honored to welcome you to the wacky world of alley cats. It's partially a race, but more of a word game and scavenger hunt that has you biking around the city in a set timeframe. You can be fast, but it's even better to be strategic! Your route will be unique; you choose what's doable for you.

Show up under the Bloomfield Bridge with yer bike, yer friends and yer donation, and I promise I will explain the game then! Also I try and fit the rules on the paper manifest/score sheet that you get :)

Why are you doing this in November when it might be collllllllldddd ???

Because life is really busy, okay, and I wanted to keep Scrabble Cat going each year! And this way, it's not the same weekend as WMNBikePGH's Scavenger Hunt + Party on Sunday, Nov. 9
OR the 2025 Pedal for the Pantry Alley Cat on Sunday, Nov. 23, or that one federal holiday.
