Scott Tournet has lived a lot of stories. He grew up on a dirt road in rural Vermont with no electricity. He went to a clothing-optional college with no grades. After college, he drove across the country by himself with a tent and a guitar. He co-founded and was the main songwriter behind Grace Potter & the Nocturnals. He has played with The Allman Brothers, Gov’t Mule, Bob Weir, Billy Gibbons, Robert Plant, members of Phish, etc. Performed for President Obama. Written and recorded with Dan Auerbach, Willie Nelson, Alison Krauss. Earned a gold record, played Letterman, Conan, Leno, Ellen, etc., Lollapalooza, Rock in Rio in Brazil, Fuji Rock in Japan, Farm Aid.
During a tour of football stadiums across the United States opening for Tim McGraw and Kenny Chesney, Tournet became disillusioned and stepped away from the band he helped build at the height of their success.
In the years following his departure, Tournet moved to California and formed the world music ensemble, Elektric Voodoo. He wrote and produced 3 full length albums, toured the country a number of times, and started a family. In 2023 Scott moved his family to the east coast and released his solo album 'Rock and Roll Stories'. The album found some radio success though Scott only toured minimally behind so he could stay home with his family.
On September 12th, 2025, Tournet will release his newest record 'HOME'. 'HOME' is a more laid back, singer-songwriter release which he will be touring solo acoustic to support. In addition to the songs on 'HOME', Scott will also be playing songs from his entire discography.
