This course explores the concept of scientific temper—critical thinking, evidence-based reasoning, and skepticism toward misinformation—and its role in the conduct and communication of science, public health, and policy. Through selected readings and case studies, students will build skills to appraise research, navigate uncertainty, counter misinformation, and effectively communicate evidence-based messages to diverse audiences.

Once your payment is received, you will receive a confirmation email that secures your registration for the course. In the event that the workshop is fully booked, we can add your name to a waitlist. Click on 'Add to Waitlist' above or email scientific.temper@emory.edu. If a place becomes available, we will notify you.
Cancellation and Refund Policy:
If the course is cancelled, participants will receive a full refund. If a participant wishes to cancel their ticket, notice of cancellation must be received in writing via email to scientific.temper@emory.edu. If the cancellation is received 14 days or more prior to the start of the workshop, a full refund of the registration fee, less an administration charge, will be given. If the cancellation is less than 14 days prior to the workshop start date, no refund will be given. No refund will be given for participant's internet connectivity/bandwidth issues during the workshop.
