Science Cafe
Overview
Event Overview (Eventbrite)
The Science Café is a hands-on, creativity-forward science session designed for curious kids ages 6–12. Each week, participants explore a new concept through engaging, art-infused experiments that bring scientific ideas to life. Children will work with real materials, make observations, and create take-home projects that reflect the principles they learn.
Past sessions have introduced surface tension through floating inks in Japanese marbling, explored light and shadow using sun prints, and demonstrated crystallization by growing sparkling crystal ornaments. This winter’s Science Café will continue in that spirit, blending science, art, and discovery in a warm and supportive learning environment.
Across the January series, participants can expect:
- Fun, hands-on activities grounded in real scientific principles
- Playful introduction to chemistry, physics, and environmental science
- Creative projects they can take home
- An encouraging space that nurtures curiosity, confidence, and experimentation
Join us for a joyful start to the new year as we learn, create, and explore together. The Science Café is a wonderful way to spark curiosity and build excitement about science through accessible, imagination-driven experiences.
