HEAR YE! HEAR YE! Mavey Books is pleased to welcome the Travelling Science Fiction and Fantasy Festival to Ardmore, Penna. on Friday, October 17 at 7:30PM.

Join us for a star-studded panel led by acclaimed authors Yume Kitasei (The Deep Sky, The Stardust Grail, Saltcrop), Micaiah Johnson (The Space Between Worlds), and Julia Vee (The Ebony Gate, Pearly City). This event will be held at the Rotwitt Theatre of the McShain Performing Acts Center at Rosemont College 1400 Montgomery Ave, Bryn Mawr, PA 19010

Over two weeks and eight cities, Science Fiction and Fantasy authors will discuss the world of speculative fiction and fantasy, why space stories are actually scarier than ya think (E.T., you traumatized us), and where the world of scifi & fantasy is headed.

Due to limited seating, tickets are required to join. Books will be available for purchase and signing at the event.

YUME KITASEI is a Japanese and American speculative fiction author of THE DEEP SKY, THE STARDUST GRAIL, and SALTCROP. She lives in Brooklyn with two cats, Boondoggle and Filibuster.

JULIA VEE was a trial lawyer in Silicon Valley for over two decades. She attended UC Berkeley and majored in Asian Studies. She often writes with co-author Ken Babelle. Their novel EBONY GATE, an Asian-inspired urban fantasy, was a Golden Poppy Finalist for the Octavia E. Butler award. Their series conclusion, PEARL CITY, released in July of 2025

MICAIAH JOHNSON is a Brooklyn-based author and scholar. She received her BA in creative writing from the University of California, Riverside, and her MFA in fiction from Rutgers-Camden and her doctorate at Vanderbilt Univeristy. Her debut novel, THE SPACE BETWEEN WORLDS, won the Compton Crook Award and was an Editors’ Choice at The New York Times. NPR named it one of the best books of 2020 and one of the best science fiction books in the last decade.

Tickets required to join. Books will be available for purchase and signing at the event.
