School, But Just the Fun Parts - a creativity workshop
Overview
School, But Just the Fun Parts is a creativity workshop. Learn to turn off that negative voice inside yourself and focus on the joy of creating.
As children, you're allowed to do what you love even if you're bad at it. The older we get, the more critical the voice in our head becomes. School, But Just the Fun Parts is meant to restore creativity and bring back the joy of learning for its own sake.
I'll guide participants through screen-free exercises and short lessons meant to recreate a grade school environment – but only the fun parts.
Remember in school when your teacher surprised the class with a fun activity – make a collage, or draw a picture of yourself 10 years in the future? Maybe drawing (or writing poetry, or singing) wasn't your favorite activity, but you did it – and there's value in trying something new and completing a project, even if you don't create a masterpiece.
At this workshop, you can relax over a drink (alcoholic or non-alcoholic!) after a long work week and try a new activity – even (especially!) if it's something you might be bad at.
