Join NSHSS members, families, educators, and partners at Johns Hopkins University this summer for an educational conference! This event will feature several engaging sessions, a college and career fair, a member party, and countless networking opportunities. At Scholar's Day, you and your family will learn more about all of the benefits of your NSHSS membership, including $2.5 million in scholarship opportunities yearly, access to an extensive network of university, educational, corporate, and government partners, and of course, the lifetime network of fellow NSHSS members.

Seating is limited, so it is recommended that you register as soon as possible. Registration will close once we reach full capacity, at which point we will no longer accept registrations. We recommend securing your event tickets before you book your hotel or travel arrangements.

**Only those who register via Eventbrite will be admitted to the event.

ATTENDEE SWAG: All Scholar's Day attending members will receive a bag with NSHSS-branded swag!


REFUND POLICY: If you are no longer able to attend, please email rsvp@nshss.org, and we can transfer your tickets to another NSHSS event. You can also transfer your registration to another event via Eventbrite up until the evening before the event date. Transfer requests must be submitted in writing by email to rsvp@nshss.org by 5 PM EST on the day before the event. On the day of the event and beyond, registration transfers are no longer allowed in the Eventbrite system, and transferring to another event will no longer be an option. Tickets may not be transferred to a different event more than once.


Refunds to the original payment method will be issued in full for refund requests received up to 15 days before the event starts. Up to 30 days before the event starts, attendees can choose to request automatic refunds for a future event credit or a refund to the original payment method issued through Eventbrite. After submitting your refund request in writing by email to rsvp@nshss.org, please allow up to five (5) business days to process your refund request. After 14 days before the event starts, no refunds will be issued. All further sales are non-refundable.


This event will take place rain or shine. If the event is rescheduled, all purchases will be honored for the rescheduled event date or may be refunded on a case-by-case basis. If the event is canceled, all purchases will be refunded in full.

What is Scholar's Day?

Scholar's Day is NSHSS's most significant event of the year. Over the years, NSHSS has hosted thousands at Scholar's Day events in Washington, D.C., and Atlanta, GA. Fun fact: the first Scholar's Day was held in the US Senate! This year, NSHSS is bringing Scholar's Day to the Johns Hopkins campus!

Do I have to purchase tickets for my whole family?

Yes! To be admitted to Scholar's Day, each member, parent, or guest must purchase a ticket in order to attend. Your ticket is your name badge, so make sure the name on each ticket is correct and your whole party is accounted for.

Does NSHSS provide accommodations or transportation?

Each attendee is responsible for their own accommodations and transportation arrangements. NSHSS does not assist with airfare or hotels; however, we provide a discounted hotel room block. See the hotel booking link above.

Something came up and I can no longer attend. Can I get a refund?

Up to 15 days before the event starts, attendees can request automatic refunds in full back to their original payment method directly through their Eventbrite account. Please review the full refund policy detailed above.

Will there be food at the event?

NSHSS will provide a breakfast on Saturday morning. Be sure to plan to provide your meals otherwise. There are plenty of excellent restaurants surrounding the venue! NSHSS will share info about nearby eateries on the day of.
