About This Class

This six-week Scene Study Acting Class is designed for actors who are ready to work seriously and consistently at a high level.

The focus of the class is scene work, with an emphasis on:

• Active listening and truthful connection
• Character development
• Text and script analysis
• Working moment-to-moment with a scene partner

Students will work on multiple scenes over the six weeks and are expected to arrive well-prepared, allowing the class to focus on refining, elevating, and deepening the work rather than basic memorization.

What We’ll Work On

• In-depth scene study with a partner
• Cold reads and script exploration
• Acting for the Camera.
• Receiving and applying direction
• Taking work from “good” to next-level

Commitment & Expectations (important)

This class is for students who are:

• Serious about their acting training
• Willing and able to prepare outside of class
• Ready to work collaboratively with scene partners

If you are considering enrolling, ask yourself if you can commit to preparing to your best level each week throughout the six-week session.

Prerequisite

This class is open to students who have:

• Completed at least our Intermediate Acting Class, or
• Completed equivalent training at another school or program, or
• Have significant acting experience

👥 Instructors

Amanda & Art Hennessey have over 20 years of experience teaching acting at universities and through their own studio. They've worked in film, television, and theatre, and have created award-winning short films screened at festivals nationwide.
