Yes, a detailed, personal story of exactly what happened, and HOW it happened to someone who knew to be careful.

Yes! We will have a speaker from the Greensboro Police Department Fraud Investigations Unit providing information of what to be on the lookout for.

What is available to us in the community to help us prevent being scammed and what to do if we are?

Our speaker from the Guilford County Family Justice Center will provide this type of information.

By the time you leave, you will understand the difference between  a scam and fraud.

What age range is best for this event?

Accepted Answer

People of all ages are targeted for scams. Although Seniors tend to be more associated with fraud and lose more money, scams can reach any age, from high school students through all ages of adults. The 19-24 age range is most highly targeted now.

Will we have the chance to ask questions of the speakers?

Yes, if time permits. You will be given the opportunity to write questions during the program and some will be given to the speakers to answer. Speakers will also be available for questions a few minutes after the program ends.

This a free, community-wide event. Tickets are not required.  Seating is available for 200 people. Doors open at 5:30 pm.
