Forensic Accountant

Chris Knight is a Forensic Accountant assigned to the Complex Financial Crimes squad. In this role, he is responsible for the review and analysis of documentary evidence received in support of criminal and national security investigations. In addition to working at the FBI, Knight is an adjunct professor at Butler University and Indiana University. He is a licensed State of Indiana Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE).

Special Agent Jeremy Michaelis

SA Michaelis has been an FBI agent for 18 years and is currently working Complex Financial Crime and Health Care Fraud matters. He was previously the Applicant Coordinator and Recruiter for the Indianapolis Field Office, occupying that role for almost six years. SA Michaelis spent the first 11 years of his FBI career investigating terrorism matters.

In addition to his investigative responsibilities, SA Michaelis has been a SWAT operator for over 16 years, spending five years as the SWAT Team Leader, responsible for training and commanding FBI tactical assets in support of operational requirements.

Prior to joining the FBI, SA Michaelis worked for the National Security Agency and served in the United States Army as a linguist and interrogator, completing tours in Iraq, Afghanistan, and Qatar.
