About this Event

If you've developed a unique physical product or process and are in the process of developing prototypes, or are currently in low volume production and are interested in improving your products design for manufacturability and assembly, join us for "Scaling For Success" and learn key processes to help you take your product and production process to the next level.

Based on the US Department of Energy’s Build4Scale training program and Munro & Associates Lean Product Design methodology, this workshop is designed to help advanced manufacturing and hardware product developers with improving their product design utilizing design for manufacturability disciplines. Workshop topics include:

Designing your product for X (manufacturability, Durability and Cost Reductions): includes workshop exercise to help you prioritize your design for X planning efforts

Developing a Bill of Materials (BOM) & Bill of Process (BOP): includes workshop exercise with tools to support your product planning

Leaning Your Product Design: workshop exercises to reduce components and manufacturing process complexity

Moving from Alpha to Beta Prototypes to Low Volume to Scale! Designing for Failure Modes Effects and Analysis: includes workshop exercise to use manufacturing risk assessment tools to develop a product prototyping plan and a Munro & Associates Facility Tour .

Information on the Centrepolis Accelerator's ScaleUp for Success Program, designed to help small manufacturers and hardware innovators grow their business, will also be highlighted.
