About this event

Join an online panel of design leaders as we discuss the Power of Diversity in Design.

Panelists:

Ivy Ross, Vice President of Design for the Hardware organization at Google: Over the past four years, Ivy and her team have launched 30+ products winning over 110+ global design awards. This collection of hardware established a new Google design aesthetic that is tactile, colorful and bold. A winner of the National Endowment for the Arts grant, Ivy’s innovative metal work in jewelry is in the permanent collections of 12 international museums. Ivy has held executive positions spanning from head of product design and development to CMO and presidencies with several companies, including Calvin Klein, Swatch, Coach, Mattel, Bausch & Lomb and Gap. Ninth on Fast Company’s list of the 100 Most Creative People in Business 2019, Ivy believes the intersection of arts and science is where the most engaging and creative ideas are found.

Hector Ouilhet, Head of Human Centered Innovation and Strategy at Google: Hector is a professional “people person”. No matter where he’s working (Google, MIT Mobile Experience Lab, HP), Hector humanizes computer interfaces to make them accessible for everyday people, uses technology to solve human problems, and unlocks the power of individuals to mobilize entire organizations. Currently, Hector leads a team at Google that promotes product innovation through human-centric design and culture.
