About this event

Bina M. Patel invites us to confront what goes unsaid inside our institutions (and sometimes society). Drawing from her work supporting conflict transformation and equitable systems, Patel explores how to lead with courage, foster cultures of accountability, and speak difficult truths—especially when it feels risky.

Tuesday, August 12 at 7:00 PM (doors 6:30 PM). FREE to the public, registration is required.

Presented by Mechanics' Hall in partnership with Catalyst Collaboratives, New Hampshire Coastal Adaptation Workgroup, and the Maine Climate Change Adaptation Providers Network. This event was made possible in part by support from the Great Bay 2030 partnership, which is funded by the New Hampshire Charitable Foundation.

    ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Bina M. Patel helps leaders return to themselves so they can rise with purpose. As a coach, facilitator, and speaker, she works with changemakers and organizations who are ready to move beyond the surface and into deeper, more sustainable leadership. Her approach blends decades of policy and nonprofit experience with the embodied, heart-centered practices of breathwork, mindfulness, and neuroscience.

Through her Saathi methodology, Bina supports leaders in remembering who they are, envisioning what’s possible, and mobilizing together toward lasting transformation and impact.

    ABOUT THE SERIES

Presented by Mechanics' Hall, Beyond Comfort is a three-part speaker series that brings together nationally recognized authors and changemakers who challenge the status quo and invite us into deeper reflection, courageous leadership, and transformative justice.

These events ask: What must we risk to create cultures of equity? How do we move through discomfort to action? And how can we lead, learn, and live in ways that repair rather than repeat harm?

Don’t miss the other events of the series including Dividing Lines: How Transportation Infrastructure Reinforces Racial Inequality on Tuesday, September 9 at 7:00 PM and Beyond the Page: Leadership, Equity & the Cost of Comfort on Tuesday, September 23 at 7:00 PM.
