About this event

  • Event lasts 1 hour

The Positive Communication Network is proud to present our PosComm Workshop Series -- practical training designed by experts for your everyday life.

Our August 8th event, "Savoring the Moment: How to Find Joy and Meaning in Communication," will feature Dr. Maggie Pitts, co-founder of the Positive Communication Network and Associate Professor of Communication at the University of Arizona.

Everyday, we experience a range of interactions with other people. Communication savoring is about slowing down, seeing meaning in big and small moments, and learning to appreciate human communication. In this workshop, you will learn to:

  • Spot 7 types of communication moments that are worth savoring.
  • Practice ways to enjoy and remember those moments.
  • Start your own communication savoring habits!

By attending, you'll expand your awareness and capacity to savor even ordinary moments and as a result improve your well-being and your relationships.

The mission of the PosComNetwork is to inspire scholars, educators, and practitioners to study, explore, and celebrate positive communication practices and messages across communication contexts.
