This special edition pays tribute to iconic moments in Notre Dame's athletic history, beginning with the legendary 1977 “Trojan Horse” or “Green Jersey Game.” In a bold and unforgettable twist, the team warmed up in their classic blue jerseys but stunned fans by emerging from the locker room in green — accompanied by a massive wooden Trojan horse built by students. The team fed off the energy of the moment and went on to defeat USC 49–19, a pivotal win end route to their 10th consensus national championship.
