Overview

Learn how the health of salmon matters to the health of our communities, and the risk that pollutants have to our ecosystem.

In support of local media, please join us at the Puget Sound Starts Here Media Visit to Pipers Creek Salmon Celebration at Carkeek Park on Nov 22nd, 10:30 a.m. -12:30 p.m.

We will learn how the health of salmon matters to the health of our communities, and the risk that pollutants have to our ecosystem.

  • Connect with scientists and habitat folks for a salmon experience.
  • There will be stewards that speak Spanish, Chinese (and we are trying to locate Korean and Vietnamese speakers)
  • There will be a stipend for attendees and social media to share.
  • There will be scavenger hunts, art projects, dance performances, free donuts, coffee, cider, Bert the Salmon and family friendly activities like a salmon dissection, community booths and more.

More details to follow!
