SNAP (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program) is under threat of significant cuts in the upcoming federal budget. 1.4 million Michiganders rely on various SNAP benefits to access healthy foods and meet their essential needs. Despite the large number of food assistance programs available across our community, many people still experience food insecurity. This is preventable.Join ENTF and our Kent County Food Policy Council on June 6th, 1:30-2:30pm, to learn more and get involved in saving SNAP. Hear more about the negative impacts of potential cuts to SNAP and get access to tools to help build awareness about this issue. Partners include Michigan League for Public Policy, UCOM, HOPE Gardens, Community Food Club, and others.
