Jay Strauss is a songwriter based in the Hudson Valley, crafting poetic, subtly off-kilter songs that blend post-punk angularity with folk undercurrents. His 2024 debut album, Based on a True Story, is a melodic puzzle box of lyrical nuance and unusual structures—produced by Andy Stack and featuring Lee Falco, Adrien Reju, and Shauna Ward.
