SAT AM - Art 101: Getting Started workshop with Maureen

If you're brand new to art making and don’t know where to start, this is for you! Designed for the "pre-beginner."

A fun and informative one-day workshop that will get you started with painting and help you decide the creative direction you'd like to go. At the end, you'll receive recommendations from the instructor on what is the next best step for you.Topics covered:

• how to use acrylic paint
• controlling the drying time for your paint
• how to layer and blend colors beautifully
• setting up your palette
• how to select the right paint colors to buy
• getting to know various tools and materials
• how to clean your brushes
• using easels
• how to store your art supplies at home

Students will also complete a simple and fun painting to take home! No drawing skills needed to make a great piece of art.All supplies are provided—just bring yourself and a smile!
