Event description

Description

Join Sasquatch for our Mt Mondadnock Mountain Summit Challenge!

We welcome Sasquatch and Sasquatch-ettes of all ages and sizes.

Note: *****Event is limited to 200 people*****

Start out at the trail head of the White Dot Trail where you will receive your tags, T-shirt, and hiker swag. Hikers will head out during their designated time to hike 1.9 miles with 1650 feet of elevation to make your way to the summit at 3,165 feet. Once there, you will be greeted with stunning views, a sweet finishers medal, and bragging rights. Soak in the views, feel the pride, drink some water, or have a picnic and enjoy being in the outdoors.

Make your way down the 1.9 miles back to basecamp via the White Cross Trail and check in to see if you were a raffle winner for your time slot!

Show us what you're made of, support our local Scholarship fund for graduating Seniors, and ....Take a Hike!

Please note that this is a trail run/hike, with lots of rocks, roots, dips, and turns.

Pets: Monadnock State Park does not allow pets so sadly, Fido needs to sit this one out.

FAQs

Is it a race?

Some people wish to test themselves against the clock, but most hikers will be hiking. All hikers are manually timed from the base of the mountain to the summit.

Can I hike with my kids?

YES!! Please do! We all know kids have too much screen time and not enough tree time. Kids of all ages are welcome and receive the same types of race T-shirts, Medals, and swag that their parents receive.

Can I hike with a group?

Yes. When hiking as a group, be more aware of damage to the trails. Please do not try to hike 2 or three abreast when the trail size does not allow for it. We want to maintain these trails for future generations of Sasquatch everywhere.

How much does it cost?

$35 until Wednesday, May 20th.

$40 until tickets are sold out.

Race day registration (if available): $45

What do I get?

Finishers Medal at the Summit

Qualtiy tri-blend event T-shirt

Swag Bag

Bragging Rights

Hiking with a group of people who want to help your hikes be educated, fun, and safe.

Where does the race money go?

Sasquatch events are non-profit. All net proceeds will be donated to the Scores Running Club local Scholarship fund for seniors graduating from Keene and Monadnock high schools.

Can I hike another day? Is there a virtual option?

Yes! Choose the 'Gone Squatchin' ticket option and hike Mt. Monadnock any day you choose. We'll mail you your bib. Just take a picture when you get to the summit with your bib, send it to us, and we'll ship all your fun swag and your medal right to your door! And yes, you still get to participate in the raffle!

Can I volunteer?

Yes! Sasquatch could not complete these events without our wonderful volunteers. We have many volunteer spaces available:

All volunteers can also take part in the event for free. Volunteers receive all the same hiking swag that participants receive, plus snacks! Please contact Sasquatch with any questions or for more information.

Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event?

ID is required for all participants over the age of 18.

Participants younger than 18 will need a parent or gaurdian to sign their waiver.

What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event?

Monadnock State Park charges a day use fee of $5 per person over the age of 12, $2 per person (ages 6-12), and children 5 and under are free. This fee includes plenty of parking and use of the on-site, clean restrooms.

How can I contact the organizer with any questions?

Please see our website at: www.SasquatchTakeAHike.com or call at 603-338-8470. We will reply or return your call within 48 hours.

What's the refund policy?

Sorry, registrations are nonrefundable.

Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?

Please bring your ticket to help with the registration process. If you lose it or forget, we will still be able to get you registered and signed in.
