Artist Biography:

Vee Chorabik, MFA, studies queer-feminist icons and depicts them in mixed-media and gawdy glitter. They’re an artist and sessional instructor at Emily Carr University, high school teacher, and run various art workshops around Vancouver. They use art and education as safe spaces to express and create 2SLGBTQIA+ pride and community. Many queer folks feel a lack of spirituality as western religion has historically oppressed non-cisheteronormative folks. Vee’s “Sapphic Sanctuary” project aims to create a holy space for those of us left on Earth after the Rapture.
