Santa's Workshops at Ostudio!
Overview
Do you want to learn some new skills, get your craft on, and make special holiday gifts for you friends and family? This is the event for you!
Join us on Thursday, December 4th at Ostudio (366 Stockton Street Brooklyn, NY 11206) for an evening of fun, music, drinks, and crafting!
Doors will open at 6pm. From 6-7pm you can get settled, get a drink, try some food, and take a look around at the crafts on offer. From 7-9:30pm, workshops will be open. This will be a choose your own adventure. Each craft should take around 20-30 min so you can try them all or stay longer at the ones you like the most. At each station, you will complete a finished piece that is ready to be used as a gift for someone special. We'll be sticking around until 10:30pm for end of the night socializing and cocktails and then off into the world with our newfound skills.
Workshop details below :
Jessi will show you her special technique for screenprinting. You'll have your choice of either a white or tie dyed set of kitchen towels and then can choose from a variety of designs. Jessi will walk you through the steps of screen priniting, teach you some cool one of a kind tricks, and you'll walk away with two finished kitchen towels.
Join Anne, founder of upcycled knitwear brand Next Season, in knitting a zig-zag scarf out of scrap yarn. You’ll learn how to knit a chevron garter stitch and will leave the workshop well on your way to completing a cute hand made gift (for a friend or for yourself)! Workshop price includes yarn, needles, and a pattern to take home. This project is ideal for beginners with at least a little bit of knitting experience !
Monica will be teaching how to make and decorate the sweetest stuffed pillows. These are cute little friends that can either be gifted to a younger family member as a stuffed animal or used as an ornament.
Diana will be bringing ceramic ornaments to decorate and give to someone for their tree, their rearview mirror, or anywhere in their home that needs a cute touch of color and craft.
This event is suitable for crafters of all ages and skill levels. There are two ticket levels - you can buy just one workshop (let us know which one when you arrive) or you can buy all four and work your way through them at your own pace.
We will also have an assortment of ready to gift items available for purchase - access to shop those does not require a ticket.
Looking forward to an early December evening with you!
