The Sandford Sweep Cleanup will be held in memory of Benny Bulfamante.
Without his dedication, we would not have achieved the success of our very first cleanup at this site. Benny generously brought his landscaping crew and a backhoe tractor, helping us remove buried grocery carts from the river. That year, we pulled two tons of waste from the water. We are proud to honor Benny and grateful to have had him as part of our efforts.
October 25th from 9 AM to 1 PM This area has both land and water sections that need to be cleaned so please bring your boots and waders. If you don't have any, we have you covered, just email melissasw@hutchinsonriver.org and we’ll get you suited up.
We’ll provide:
- Gloves
- Grabbers
- Trash bags
- Sunscreen
- Bug spray
Please bring your own water and snacks.
