Sand Tray therapy is an expressive and projective mode of psychotherapy involving the unfolding and processing of intra and interpersonal issues through the use of specific sandtray materials as a non-verbal medium of communication, led by the client(s) and facilitated by a trained therapist. It is a process that seeks to promote safety and control for the client so that emotionally charged issues can be addressed through the medium. This 6-hour training will teach participants the history behind sand tray and some specific tools and techniques to be able to use this model in treatment with clients and families.
