About the Artist

Terrence Lavin received his BS from at Skidmore College and an MFA in Jewelry / Metalsmithing from Bowling Green State University. He’s been teaching at Southern Connecticut State University in New Haven CT since 2000.

“I’m interested in making pieces that possess their own authority as objects of contemplation, and that speak of artifacts of the past, present, and possible future. Each piece is an attempt to challenge myself to learn something new, push scale and material a bit further, to find novel perspectives to stay engaged.”
