The first Friday of every month, San Mateo County History Museum continues its “FREE First Fridays” with FREE museum admission all day.

Visit the San Mateo County History Museum every Friday (except July 4th) for our FREE First Friday events, where children enjoy special programs including crafts and storytime, and adults can join a docent-led tour of the museum.

Free First Fridays

On the first Friday of every month, museum admission is free. Come explore all of the exhibits and enjoy additional special programs for children and adults including docent-led tours, story readings, craft projects and more. The San Mateo County History Museum is located at 2200 Broadway within the 115-year-old “Old Courthouse” in Redwood City. It features exhibits related to the use of natural resources, suburban development, ethnic experience, and entrepreneurial achievement on the Peninsula from the time of Ohlone Indian through today.
