Join us for our second year of our Salty Sail Series aboard the historic AJ Meerwald! This is a 2.5 hour relaxing journey with an educational twist on the deck of a piece of history. Not only is the AJ Meerwald New Jersey's Tall Ship, but it is also a restored 90 old oyster schooner. We depart from Bivalve, NJ at the Bayshore Center at Bivalve where the AJ Meerwald will be docked and ride down the winding Maurice River to the Delaware Bay. You will be able to help raise the sail with the direction and assistance of the AJ Meerwald crew. When the engine gets shut off you will not believe how serene it is out there! While enjoying the sights and breeze, you will learn about the history of oysters in the Delaware Bay as well as some of our farming methods. Light refreshments will be available alongside our wonderful variety of farm raised oysters. There is no bathroom on board, so make sure to go before you board! Boat leaves at 6pm sharp, so don’t be late. There is no waiting.
